Posted Wed, Sep, 05,2012

Article_metrics_element_1.png

Following yesterday's announcement of our new article metrics service today we present the first in a series of articles explaining its individual elements.  Today we tell you more about Total Article Views and Views by Month.

Total Article Views summarises the total views of both the article webpage and the article PDF since publication.

Below is Views by Month, where this information is presented by month.  If the user positions their mouse cursor over a graph bar further information on that month is displayed on the right.

In most cases these will present information from both the Libertas website and Pubmed Central. However it does not at present include other external locations where the article could also be hosted such as Scopus. Data from the Libertas website is collected and sorted with Project COUNTER Release 3, which excludes automated search engine, archiving downloads, and rapid sequences of views and downloads.

Limitations apply to this data for some articles.  These are summarised in the About Article Metrics text at the bottom of each article metrics webpage.

What Your Colleagues Say About Libertas Academica

It's a great experience publishing with Biomedical Informatics Insights. I am particularly impressed with the in-depth and constructive comments provided by the reviewers within such a short time-frame. The typesetting was not only prompt, but most importantly, effective. In fact, this was among the very few publication experiences that I have had when no correction was needed in the author proofs.I highly recommend Biomedical Informatics Insights to both readers and prospective authors in our research ...

Author Survey Results

All authors are surveyed after their articles are published. Authors are asked to rate their experience in a variety of areas, and their responses help us to monitor our performance. Presented here are their responses in some key areas. No 'poor' or 'very poor' responses were received; these are represented in the 'other' category.
