On behalf of the Editorial Board, it is my great pleasure to invite you to submit your recent research for publication in Glycobiology Insights--a new peer reviewed open access journal published by Libertas Academica.
There is growing evidence that protein-carbohydrate interactions play significant roles in mediating cell-cell and cell-extracellular matrix interactions, which in turn, modulate fundamental biological processes such as growth development, immune functions, and apoptosis. Thus, the identification of these carbohydrate-binding proteins (known as lectins) and their partners (carbohydrate ligands), and the detailed understanding of the molecular mechanisms and downstream effects of these protein-carbohydrate interactions as well as the carbohydrate modulation by glycosidases and glycosyltransferases are currently subjects of intense research.
We are interested in original research contributions focusing on all aspects of protein-carbohydrate interactions in normal functions and disease states. This includes, but not limited to, interactions between lectins (proteins or glycoproteins) and carbohydrate ligands (glycoproteins, glycolipids, and proteoglycans) and modulation of these interactions by glycosidases and glycosyltransferases. Research reviews and commentaries within the scope of the journal are also encouraged.
What is the advantage to you of publishing in Glycobiology Insights?
Full open access: everyone can read your article and you retain copyright in it
Publishing decision within 2 weeks of submission
Your paper will not be rejected due to lack of space and will be published immediately on acceptance
Prompt and fair peer review from two expert peer reviewers
Frequent updates on your paper’s status
Friendly responsive staff
What a previous author said:
"The publishing process of this journal was a most pleasant and productive experience. I was particularly impressed with the regular updates of the progress of my submission. Many other journals receive a submission and authors may not hear anything for months. I appreciate your notification policy."
In summary:
The advantages of a younger journal such as Glycobiology Insights are numerous but in essence allow us a greater flexibility and responsiveness to authors and readers that older journals cannot match.
Yours sincerely,

I had an excellent experience publishing our review article in Clinical Medicine Reviews. The managing editor was very helpful and the process was very timely and transparent.Professor Jonathan A.
