Edward Younglai

Dr Edward Younglai is a Professor Emeritus at McMaster University, and has been involved in reproductive studies for over 35 years. During his esteemed academic career he was Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (1982-2006) and Professor of Pathology (1989-2006), and coordinated the Graduate Program in Reproductive Biology and Human Genetics (1993-1995). He was also a post-doctorate fellow in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Studies at Cambridge University, U.K.

Dr Younglai has been an associate editor of Human Reproduction, and a referee for many more journals. He has contributed to 8 books on reproduction and published over 190 peer-reviewed articles. He has actively participated in over a dozen committees and is/was on numerous professional organizations, such as the Society for the Study of Reproduction, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology, including President of Canadian Investigators in Reproduction for a year.

Dr Younglai has taught reproductive biology at a graduate level and has an interest in reproductive endocrinology in this regard. His areas of research interest are reproductive toxicology, neuroendocrine control of gonadotropin secretion, and sperm derived growth factors.
