Editors in Chief may endorse articles that they consider to be particularly noteworthy.  The reasons for the endorsement are given in the text of the endorsement.

Endorsements are in no way intended to negatively reflect on the quality of other articles.  They seek to highlight examples of different quality areas of research within the scope of the journal that provide insights into the past, current and future state of their field of research.
