Dr. Bose is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology, Oncology and Palliative Care at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. After obtaining his medical degree from Calcutta Medical College in India, he completed a residency in internal medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI and a fellowship in hematology and oncology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, OK.
Dr. Bose is a clinical and translational researcher whose primary focus is on the acute leukemias and other myeloid neoplasms. Specifically, he designs early phase clinial trials involving novel combinations of targeted agents. He sees patients with a diverse range of malignant hematologic conditions at the National Cancer Institute-designated VCU Massey Cancer Center. He is also actively involved in the education of hematology/oncology trainees. Dr. Bose is an avid scientific writer and has authored several important clinical articles in leading peer-reviewed journals. He continues to be active in publishing his research findings, review articles and book chapters.
