Editorial Board

Associate Editor

Responsibility for editorial decision-making in respect to all submissions to the journal has been delegated by the editor in chief to the associate editor.  The editor in chief retains responisbility for editorial matters including but not limited to journal supplements, the aims and scope, the editorial board and volunteer peer reviewer pool, and for consulting on ad hoc editorial matters such as pre-submission inquiries from authors.

Jike Cui, PhD

Research Associate, Center for Biomedical Informatics, Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.

Dr Cui gained his Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from Boston University in 2009, and his Post Doctorate degree from Harvard Medical School in 2011.  He has been a research associate since May 2009 at the Center for Biomedical Informatics at Harvard University Medical School, and before that he was a research assistant in the Department of Molecular & Cell Biology at Boston University.

Dr Cui is the author of 19 peer reviewed articles, and was an invited speaker at the International Workshop on Bioinformatics and Systems Biology in 2007 and 2008.  In 2009 he was a member of the committee for the International Workshop on Bioinformatics and Systems Biology.  As well as being heavily involved with this workshop, and being on the Biomarkers in Cancer Editorial Board, Dr Cui reviews for 8 other Bioinformatics journals.

Dr Cui’s areas of research include gene linkage networks and pathway analysis across genomes, phylogeny duplication and expression of gene families, N-linked glycosylation, protein kinases, and studying changes of proteomes at different life-stages of human pathogens.

Supplement Guest Editors & Editorial Board Members

Supplement guest editors are responsible for the editorial content of published supplements, and as editorial board members are a source of peer reviewers and may occasionally provide assistance to the editor in chief.  Further information on the editorial board is available here, and information on the roles of guest editors in supplements is available here.

What Your Colleagues Say About Evolutionary Bioinformatics
I found the submission management system for Evolutionary Bioinformatics to be one of the most user-friendly around. The peer review was very rigorous and constructive. Support staff were polite and furnished accurate information almost instantly. I strongly recommend other scientists to consider this journal.
