Deputy Editor in Chief
The deputy editor in chief provides support to the editor in chief on editorial decision-making, and is responsible for editorial-decisions when the editor in chief is unavailable or has declared a conflict of interest.
Michael Linnebacher, PhD
Dr Michael Linnebacher is an immunologist and molecular biologist trained in Saarbrücken, Homburg and Heidelberg. He received his Ph.D. in 2001 from the University of Karlsruhe. In 2005 he went to Rostock, where he currently leads a group working on molecular oncology and immunotherapy with a strong focus on tissue banking and establishment of individual models of disease. Additional research interests focus on the development and evaluation of novel diagnostic assays and therapeutic strategies basing on neoantigens derived from mutations and reactivated endogenous retroviral sequences.
