Dr Reiter is the author of Gene expression in hair follicle dermal papilla cells after treatment with stanozolol which was recently published in Biomarker Insights.
The Editor in Chief of Biomarker Insights recently issued a call for papers.
What is the primary focus of your research?
qPCR analysis: gene expression studies, gene analysis in human tissues.
What are the most exciting developments arising from current research in your area?
Significant gene regulations could be recognized under anabolic steroid treatment, so that first hormone dependent biomarkers could be identified.
Single-cell analysis in qPCR is possible. Detection of single copy numbers possible. First steps toward gene expession studies in single-cells
Who are your main collaborators? Please describe your work with them
TU Munich: gene expression studies in diabetes patients; Advalytix: single cell analysis
How did you come to be working in your research area?
I started to work in this area during my PhD at the TU Munich
What do you think about the development of open access publishing? What motivated you to use it?
It is a good idea. Research results should be available for everybody so that scientific exchanges become better.
What articles and/or books have you published recently?
