Author Interview with Dr Jeanne Adiwinata Pawitan

Dr Pawitan is the author of Melamine contaminated food: serious threat to our health which was recently published in Primary Prevention Insights.

Please describe your experience with Libertas Academica

I really did not expect that I would get a fast response, as happened with my first experience with LA. Moreover, the staff are very helpful, and the peer reviewers gave very useful comments that make my paper more interesting and readable.

What is the primary focus of your research?

Now I am planning to begin stem cell research.

What are the most exciting developments arising from current research in your area?

Stem cells can be used in various areas of regenerative medicine.

Who are your main collaborators? Please describe your work with them

Dr Arleni, MBiomed cultures the stem cells. Radiana Antarianto, MD, MBiomed identifies the cells using IHC. Lia Damayanti, MD, MBiomed, Pathologist also identifies the cells using IHC.

How did you come to be working in your research area?

My department has decided to focus on this research.

What do you think about the development of open access publishing? What motivated you to use it?

Open access publishing will get more citation.
