Libertas Joins ORCID

Posted Mon, May, 30,2011

Libertas recently joined ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID.)  ORCID is an international organisation with the aim of solving the name ambiguity problem in scholarly research.  Its members include universities, funding organisations, societies, publishers and corporations.

ORCID plans to establish a registry as a resolution to this problem.  Researchers can create unique identifiers which can then be linked to their research output.  This will enhance the scientific discovery process and improve the efficiency of funding and collaboration.

This will mean that scholarly publications can be mined to identify links and ideas otherwise not always readily discoverable in the ever-expanding body of scientific literature.

To read more about ORCID's goals read the ORCID About Us page.

What Your Colleagues Say About Libertas Academica
We were invited to write a review article for Virology: Research and Treatment.  The review process was very quick and smooth and our interactions with Libertas Academica staff was clear, efficient and very personable.  I highly recommend publishing with this group.
