Posted Thu, Apr, 24,2014

The shift to digital publishing has fostered changes in the way scholarly information is created, disseminated, and consumed. Because of this there has been an emphasis to ensure that all digital content remains accessible for future scholars around the world.

Libertas has partnered with CLOCKSS in a commitment to preserve your most important investment, your research, for future generations of scholars, students, researchers and the general public to use.

CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS) is a not-for-profit joint venture between the world’s leading academic publishers and research libraries. Its mission is to build a sustainable, geographically distributed dark archive to ensure the long-term survival of web-based scholarly publications for the benefit of the greater global research community. The CLOCKSS Archive employs the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) technology to manage the preservation of content across the CLOCKSS global network of archive nodes.

Publishers from reputable institutions such as Boston College Law School, Duke University Press, European Respitorary Society and the Academy of Health have also partnered with CLOCKSS to ensure the longevity of author’s research.
