Libertas Twitter Update

Posted Tue, Dec, 11,2012

Libertas now has over 13,500 followers on Twitter.

Every Libertas journal has an individual Twitter feed in addition to 40 different subject category feeds and a selection of news feeds.

Twitter has boosted visibility for all journals due to the immediacy of the posts and the accessibility of the website on iPhones and Android devices. Tweets regarding newly published papers, journal developments and calls for papers can be received remotely on iPads, iPhones, and a range of other portable devices.

Twitter is one of the 10 most popular websites in the world and is an important tool for us to enhance article visibility. All authors will have their new article announced on Twitter, and readers can stay up-to-date on the latest publications, receiving notifications minutes after each article appears online.

Over 340 million tweets are posted daily on Twitter and around 1.6 billion searchers are performed. By using Twitter, Libertas has the potential to reach the 140 million active international users. Twitter’s popularity with a younger audience, especially those working in the USA, UK, Japan, and India means Libertas is able to appeal to the researchers of the future.

We operate a total of 111 feeds to bring immediate news and developments to all Twitter subscribers.
