What is the primary focus of your research?
My research focuses on epidemiology of nutritional health problems, obesity, fortification of foods, and diet-disease relationship. The principal investigator for two major studies on the causal association between dietary fat intake and breast cancer, Saudi diet as preventive of prostate cancer.
What are the most exciting developments arising from current research in your area?: Improve the consideration of diet as an important risk factors for preventions and as tool for treatment of chronic diseases and under-nutrition.
Who are your main collaborators? Please describe your work with them.
I am working as senior scientist at resarch centre King Faisal sp. hospital and I collaborate with other scientists and clinicians in form of research projects
How did you come to be working in your research area?
As I accomplished my Ph.D. in Food habits and patterns of diseases in Saudi Arabia I was appointed at the research centre.
What do you think about the development of open access publishing? Have you published in an open access journal? What motivated you to do so?
I believe it will be a good tools to share information in fast and easy access way.
