Author interview with Dr Shailesh Gupta

Dr Gupta is currently working on a paper for Clinical Medicine Insights: Endocrinology and Diabetes.

The Editor in Chief of Clinical Medicine Insights: Endocrinology and Diabetes recently issued a call for papers.

What is the primary focus of your research?

Clinical neurophysiology, electrophysiology, Neurology, Sleep medicine and research, Diabetes, Lifestyle clinic, alternative medicine, Biopotentials, brainmapping, biomechanics, sports physiology and medicine.

What are the most exciting developments arising from current research in your area?

Right now we are into neuroprotective ayurvedic drugs and a project for NIH. We are also looking at Diabetes prevalence and lifestyle, and alternative managements.

Who are your main collaborators? Please describe your work with them.

Prof R G Singh, Prof G P Dubey, Prof A K Gupta, Dr M Gourie Devi, Dr Manvir Bhatia and others.

How did you come to be working in your research area?

I chose it, I am in medicine and have been creating my niche, attending courses, conferences, working with eminent people, studying, writing a few books and working on some.

What do you think about the development of open access publishing? What motivated you to do so?

My friend on LA motivated me to start with, its a wonderful idea. More authenticity, more diverse views, comprehensive coverage.

What articles and/or books have you published recently?

I have recently published on Diabetes, Book on medical subjects, Physiology of pregnancy (writing), pregnancy and nutrition, sleep disorders, stroke, Alzheimer's etc.
