Dr Waked is the author of Saliva Cotinine and Exhaled Carbon Monoxide in Real Life Waterpipe Smokers: A Post Hoc Analysis, which was recently published in Tobacco Use Insights.

What is the primary focus of your research?

Clinical respiratory diseases, Epidemiology, tobacco.

What are the most exciting developments arising from current research in your area?

We are the first in Lebanon to provide epidemiologic data on COPD and Asthma.

We are the first to publish on Water pipe smoke live data and tocicology data.

Who are your main collaborators? Please describe your work with them.

How did you come to be working in your research area?

I am in a University Hospital in Lebanon. To be promoted you need to have publications and leadership
