See New Articles Published In Integrative Medicine Insights on Tumblr

Posted Thu, May, 03,2012

Libertas Academica has recently begun using the image-focused social media site Tumblr to publicise new articles and other news.

Benefits of Tumblr

Through Tumblr readers are updated when new articles are published in Integrative Medicine Insights that contain interesting or unusual images, and are linked directly to the article through the Libertas Tumblr webpage. A once-weekly summary of articles published is also provided.

Authors whose articles include suitable figures or photographs will have an image from their article and the article link displayed on the Libertas Tumblr blog*. This will give the article increased online visibility.

What is Tumblr?

Tumblr was founded in 2007 with the aim to be easy to use and allow high quality videos and photographs to be easily uploaded and viewed. Since then it has been highly successful, breaking into the top 10 most popular social media sites.

Tumblr is one of the largest and fastest growing social networking sites in America. It attracts around 13.5 million visitors every month and has received over 5 billion posts to date.

Why is Tumblr Unique?

Tumblr is unlike other social media because it focuses on vision and sound posts instead of text. Almost all posts on Tumblr include a photograph, drawing, video, or auditory clip.  This makes Tumblr an ideal medium for Libertas to promote new articles that feature unusual and appealing images.
