Libertas is pleased to announce its new archiving partnership with CLOCKSS.
CLOCKSS is a venture between the world's leading scholarly publishers and research libraries. It operates a sustainable, geographically distributed archive to ensure the long-term survival of web-based scholarly publications for the long-term benefit of researchers around the world.
For past and future authors of articles published in Libertas journals this means that the long-term survival of their articles is ensured.
In the CLOCKSS press release, Libertas CEO Tom Hill comments:
"We regard archiving as one of the foremost responsibilities of all legitimate open access publishers. Our decision to work with the highly-regarded CLOCKSS reflects our commitment to the very best level of service to authors and readers."
CLOCKSS Executive Director Randy S. Kiefer adds, "The CLOCKSS Archive welcomes Libertas Academica’s STM ejournals into the community's archive. By archiving with CLOCKSS, Libertas Academica has ensured that the ideas in their publications will continue to be available to as wide an audience as possible, now and in the future. We are grateful, as Libertas Academica joins the CLOCKSS Archive, for its generous willingness to preserve its ejournals in a way that secures them for the long-term good of scholars worldwide."
Libertas article content is also archived in the NLNZ's National Digital Heritage Archive and approximately 50% of content is archived in the NLM's Pubmed Central archive.
