Editor in Chief: William C S Cho
Dr William Chi-shing Cho is a scientific officer at the Department of Clinical Oncology in Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He embarked his research work with biochemistry and Chinese medicine. After joining Queen Elizabeth Hospital, his main research interests have been focusing on local prevalent cancers such as nasopharyngeal carcinoma and non-small cell lung cancer. Dr Cho’s work was featured at utilizing high-throughput mass spectrometry and microRNA profiling to discover biomarkers for cancer diagnosis, treatment prediction and prognostication. He holds an international patent for serum biomarkers in lung cancer under the USA Patent Cooperation Treaty. He is a Chartered Scientist granted by the Science Council (UK) and a fellow member of several institutes including the Institute of Biomedical Science (UK), Hong Kong Institute of Biomedical Science and the Hong Kong Society for Molecular Diagnostic Sciences.
Dr Cho serves as the editor-in-chief, editor and associate editor of a number of international medical journals and has published over 70 papers. He has also published books and book chapters on Cancer Encyclopedia, Cancer Biomarkers and Proteomics Methodologies of Springer and Humana Press. Dr Cho is a reviewer of many prestigious international journals and an international grant reviewer of the National Medical Research Council (Singapore), Science Foundation Ireland Review (Ireland) and Hope Funds for Cancer Research (USA).
