Information for Reviewers

Peer Reviewer Guidelines

Peer reviewers should provide an objective critical evaluation of the paper in the broadest terms practicable.

Requirements

Reviewers should make one of the following recommendations:

  • Accept without changes
  • Accept with minor changes
  • Accept with major changes
  • Reject

Your report should contain a recommendation and a description of your reasons for that recommendation. If the paper is accepted subject to changes being made, reviewers should make suggestions on how to improve the paper. You can submit your review here or by email to the Managing Editor.

Consideration should be given to whether the paper suitable for the journal it is submitted to. Each journals' aims and scope is available on this website and must be consulted during the review.

Deadline for completion

We request that you take no longer than two to three weeks to complete the peer review report. This deadline may be varied by agreement with us.

Conflicts of interest

You may not undertake a peer review on a submission if you are unable to do so objectively.

You may not undertake a peer review on a submission if you have, or have had in the last 12 months, any commercial associations or financial interests which may be construed as posing a conflict of interest, including but not limited to consultancies, employment, expert testimony, honoraria, retainers, stock holdings or options, and memberships on boards of for-profit organizations with a financial interest in the work under review.
