About this journal

Open Journal of Multidisciplinary Modelling
ISSN: To be confirmed

Aims and scope:

The Open Journal of Multidisciplinary Modelling (OJMM) is an open-access publication providing a forum for research that advances knowledge in mathematical and statistical modelling in the multidisciplinary sciences.

The journal accepts high-quality contributions that span disciplinary boundaries, including studies that couple two or more discipline-specific mathematical models or that adapt models from one discipline and apply them in another. Articles must remain accessible to the separate disciplines spanned by the models, justifying the importance and demonstrating the validity of the work within each discipline. Contributions additionally describing the use of recorded data from more than one discipline used to verify predictions made by models that span these disciplines are particularly encouraged.

Contributions can be in the form of research articles reporting new findings, short communications, or review articles. The submission of additional material in the form of software algorithms and datasets that allow ready replication of the results is encouraged. Such additional material will undergo the same peer review process as the article text.

Editorial standards and procedures:

All submissions to this journal, with the exception of editorials and dedications (obituaries), are subject to rigorous peer review by a minimum of two peer reviewers who demonstrate current research experience in the paper's subject area.  Reviewers are required to provide in-depth, fair and objective reviews.  They may not act as reviewers if they are in a conflict of interest.  All final publishing decisions are made by the Editor in Chief or Associate Editor.

National Institutes of Health Public Access Policy compliant:

As of April 7 2008, the US NIH Public Access Policy requires that all peer reviewed articles resulting from research carried out with NIH funding be deposited in the Pubmed Central archive.

If you are an NIH employee or grantee Libertas Academica will ensure that you comply with the policy by depositing your paper at Pubmed Central on your behalf.
