New Editor in Chief for Journal of Experimental Neuroscience

We are happy to announce the addition of Dr Lora Watts to the position of Editor in Chief of Journal of Experimental Neuroscience.

Dr Watts, Ph.D. is a Research Instructor at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.  In addition to research she teaches Dental Gross Anatomy and is the President of the Women’s Faculty Association at the University of Texas Health Science Center.  

She has over 10 years of experience in developing and implementing in vitro and in vivo methods to detect neurodegeneration and neuroprotection following stroke and traumatic brain injury making her an excellent candidate for the Editor in Chief position of Journal of Experimental Neuroscience.

Her specific interests are:  1) assessment of neuroprotection and neurodegeneration in relation to stroke and traumatic brain injury; 2) imaging techniques for in vivo assessment of neurodegeneration; and 3) behavioral assessment of functional recovery following brain injury.    

We look forward to working with Dr Watts to bring you timely editorial decisions.
