The official impact factor for Evolutionary Bioinformatics was recently updated by Thomson Reuters. It’s official impact factor is 2.684.
Impact factors are calculated based on the number of articles and citations in a journal, and are usually higher for serials which have been publishing for a longer time. For a journal only established in 2007, an impact factor this high is very impressive.
Evolutionary Bioinformatics's respectable impact factor was made possible by the fact that it is open access, meaning all articles are available online for anyone to read and download for free.
The widely respected editorial board and high quality peer review process have also helped to increase the number of citations and article views for Evolutionary Bioinformatics.
All articles published in Evolutionary Bioinformatics will benefit from high readership and citation rates backed up by the journal’s high impact factor.
This achievement for such a new journal was made possible by the extensive visibility we have established for Evolutionary Bioinformatics, indexing it in:

Published During AugustI serve as a peer reviewer for Libertas Academica and I would say LA is a great publisher to work with. The online review system is easy to navigate and the review process is straightforward. I am really looking forward to reviewing more manuscripts and submitting my own results as well in the future.
