JOURNAL

Clinical Medicine Reviews in Oncology

Aims and Scope

Clinical Medicine Reviews in Oncology is an international, peer reviewed journal that focuses primarily on cancer therapeutics.  The journal specializes in focused reviews of individual drug therapies, combination therapies and classes of drugs.  The journal also considers papers addressing the prevention, diagnosis and management of disorders associated with this area.

This Clinical Medicine Reviews journal offers efficient publishing, high editorial quality and no article processing fees or other fees for authors.  It is not an open access journal.  Authors will be asked to assign copyright in their article to the publisher, and will not be permitted to distribute or archive the published version of the paper without the publisher’s consent for a period of twelve months after the date of publication.  This does not affect authors' right to deposit the accepted version of the manuscript in a pre-print archive.  To avoid possible misunderstandings authors are asked to confirm their understanding of this following manuscript submission.

Standard Author Services

The journal distinguishes itself from others in the field by combining individualized author service with editorial integrity and procedural efficiency.  At every stage authors will be introduced to the staff member responsible for their paper and will receive procedural explanations and regular status updates.  The progress of authors’ papers is continually monitored by staff, and a staff member is always available to answer authors' questions.  This is reflected in our consistently positive author testimonials

Former Open Access Option

In the past the journal has offered authors optional open access for published articles.  This option is no longer available.  If you require open access please refer to the journals homepage to find an open access journal.  All journals published by Libertas Academica are open access except the Clinical Medicine Reviews series of titles.

Manuscript Types and Preparation Guidelines

Information on manuscript types accepted for peer review and guidelines for manuscript preparation are available here.  A manuscript template, sample manuscript, and pre-submission check list are available here.

Editorial Policies

All articles are subject to blind independent peer review by reviewers drawn from the journal's editorial board, volunteer peer reviewer pool, and where necessary from Pubmed.  Pubmed is used where specialized expertise is unavailable from the other sources.  Two to four peer reviewers will be used.  Editorial decisions are made by independent editors in chief or associate editors. The editorial process from peer review to first editorial decision takes three to four weeks following acceptance of each paper for peer review.

We maintain a strict distinction between editorial decisions, made by editors in chief or associate editors, and business decisions.  Libertas does not make nor attempt to influence editorial decisions.  Editorial decision makers receive no incentives to make decisions leading to fee payments.

The journal is committed to high standards of integrity.  Authors are required to confirm their compliance with ethical and legal requirements upon submission.  Prior to publication all authors must provide signed confirmation of compliance. Where concerns arise the journal will apply the Committee on Publication Ethics guidelines on ethical matters.

What Your Colleagues Say About Clinical Medicine Reviews in Oncology
The process of submitting the paper was smooth with little time required on the author's behalf. Reviews were prompt and the process of addressing reviewer comments was very streamlined. All correspondence with the editorial office was extremely professional with immediate responses. This is one of the few journals asking for feedback on their submission process.
