Dr Cyril Mauffrey is an Assistant Professor in Orthopedics at the Denver Health medical Centre at the University of Colorado, Denver, USA. His field of expertise is complex periarticular fractures, non-union and pelvic/acetabular fractures. He completed his undergraduate courses in Singapore and Hong-Kong before graduating from Turin Medical School in Italy in 2002. After that he completed His residency training both Basic & Higher surgical training programs in Birmingham, England obtaining his MRCS and FRCS (Tr Orth) with the Intercollegiate Royal College of surgeons.
Dr Mauffrey has worked as a House Officer in France and in the UK, and as a surgical trainee in various parts of the UK. In 2010 Dr Mauffrey did an Orthopedics Trauma fellowship at Louisville University Hospital in Kentucky, before moving onto his current position at the University of Colorado.
Dr Mauffrey is an Associate clinical Teacher at Warwick Medical School in England, and an Associate Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In addition to holding the Editor in Chief position of Clinical Medicine Insights: Trauma and Intensive Medicine, Dr Mauffrey holds several other deputy and associate editor positions (Deputy editor for the European Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology [Springer], Deputy editor for Patient Safety in Surgery Journal) and has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers and several book chapters and reviews. He has also edited a textbook on external fixators in Orthopedic traumatology.
